  • Diabetes is becoming a dangerous disease for the whole world. Diabetes increases the risk of kidney, liver, heart & eye-related diseases. According to the data of the World Health Organization, more than 422 million people in the world have diabetes. However, the big concern is that more than 80 million people in India are suffering from diabetes. Diabetes means that the amount of sugar or glucose in the blood has become very high. To prevent the amount of sugar in the blood from increasing, diabetic patients have to avoid eating and drinking a lot. That is why there is often confusion about eat peanuts.
  • Peanuts provide sufficient amount of protein, vitamin B6, vitamin B9, vitamin B complex, pantothenic acid and antioxidants. Some research has shown that consumption of peanuts can help in weight loss. It also has the ability to control heart disease and diabetes.
  • Are peanuts good for diabetics or not? According to Healthline, peanuts are better for diabetes. It not only controls blood sugar but also heart disease. Unfortunately, its consumption can be harmful for diabetics in some situations. A study has shown that eating peanuts in the morning helps in controlling blood sugar throughout the day. Studies have also shown that if peanuts are eaten with foods with a high glycemic index, then insulin production will improve. Peanuts are rich in magnesium, so it also helps in controlling blood sugar. A report published in the Journal of Internal Medicine also says that the consumption of peanuts helps in reducing blood sugar.
  • So, if you are diabetic or have heart disease, you should maintain a proper balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6. If you buy packaged peanuts from outside, they contain more salt. It is also not recommended for diabetics. Some people may also be allergic to peanuts. This means that peanuts are better for diabetics, but they can be beneficial in limited amounts.
